A oggi, Roding Valley è la stazione meno usata dell'intera rete metropolitana londinese.

Storia

Nel 1903 la Great Eastern Railway ha poggiato i binari attraverso Roding Valley a partire da Woodford (dove il ramo di Hainault si stacca dal ramo di Epping) per attraversare il fiume Roding su un viadotto verso Chigwell.[2]. Nel punto in cui oggi sorge la stazione ha costruito un punto di arresto del treno denominato Roding Valley Halt. Poco più a Nord si trova la stazione di Woodford. La stazione di Roding Valley ė stata aperta a febbraio del 1936 dalla London & North Eastern Railway (LNER), passando infine al London Underground nel 1948, anno in cui è cominciato il servizio della linea Central[3][4].

La stazione è stata rinnovata in anni recenti, con la conclusione dei lavori nel 2006[5]

Roding Valley ist eine oberirdische Station der London Underground im Stadtbezirk London Borough of Redbridge. Sie liegt in der Travelcard-Tarifzone 4 am Buckhurst Way, unmittelbar an der Außengrenze von Greater London. Im Jahr 2014 nutzten 0,26 Millionen Fahrgäste diese von der Central Line bediente Station, was sie zur am geringsten frequentierte Station des gesamten Netzes macht.[1]

Roding Valley is a London Underground station situated in Buckhurst Hill in the Epping Forest district of Essex, straddling the boundary between that council and Greater London (the London Borough of Redbridge). The station is on the Hainault loop of the Central line between Chigwell and Woodford stations.[7] However, geographically it is midway between Woodford and Buckhurst Hill stations. It is located between Station Way and Cherry Tree Rise (off Buckhurst Way). Since 2 January 2007, the station has been in Travelcard Zone 4.[7]
