Storia

La stazione è stata aperta al pubblico a maggio del 1903 dalla Great Eastern Railway (GER), passando sotto la London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) nel 1923 e infine al London Underground nel 1948, anno in cui è cominciato il servizio della linea Central[2][3].

La stazione è stata rinnovata in anni recenti, con la conclusione dei lavori nel 2006[4]

Chigwell ist eine oberirdische Station der London Underground. Sie liegt in der Travelcard-Tarifzone 4 und ist eine von 14 Stationen außerhalb von Greater London. Sie befindet sich zwischen der High Road und der Hainault Road in der Ortschaft Chigwell, im Bezirk Epping Forest der Grafschaft Essex. Im Jahr 2014 nutzten 0,53 Millionen Fahrgäste diese von der Central Line bediente Station.[1]

Chigwell is a London Underground station in the town of Chigwell in the Epping Forest district of Essex. It is located on the Hainault Loop of the Central line, between Grange Hill and Roding Valley stations.[6] Since 2 January 2007, the station is the only station outside Greater London in Travelcard Zone 4.[6]
