La stazione della linea U4 posta sotto tutela monumentale (Denkmalschutz).[1]
Storia
Il 3 febbraio 1945, pochi mesi prima della fine della seconda guerra mondiale, a causa di un bombardamento crollò gran parte del solaio della stazione, causando 63 vittime.[2]
Dal 1967 al 1970, in occasione della costruzione della linea 7, venne eretto al centro della piazza un fabbricato d'ingresso alla stazione, su progetto di Rainer G. Rümmler. Esso venne demolito nel 2013 e sostituito da una nuova struttura di linee più moderne.[3]

Der U-Bahnhof Bayerischer Platz ist ein U-Bahnhof der Linien U4 und U7 der U-Bahn im Berliner Ortsteil Schöneberg des Bezirks Tempelhof-Schöneberg. Der unter dem gleichnamigen Platz im Bayerischen Viertel gelegene Bahnhof ging wie die anderen Bahnhöfe der Schöneberger U-Bahn – der heutigen U4 – am 1. Dezember 1910 in Betrieb; seit 1970 kreuzt hier die Linie U7. Beide U-Bahn-Haltepunkte sind als unterirdische Mittelbahnsteige angelegt.
