History

It is one of the 11 stations that belong to the original Lisbon Metro network, opened on 29 December 1959. This station is located on Praça General Humberto Delgado, connecting to the Sete Rios Railway Station (Sintra and Azambuja Lines) and the Sete Rios Bus terminal. It takes its name from the nearby Lisbon Zoo.

The architectural design of the original station is by Falcão e Cunha. On 25 July 1995 the station was extended and refurbished, based on the architectural design of Benoliel de Carvalho.[1]

Jardim Zoológico – bis 1998 Sete Rios – ist ein U-Bahnhof der Linha Azul der Metro Lissabon, dem U-Bahn-Netz der portugiesischen Hauptstadt. Der Bahnhof befindet sich unter dem Platz Praça General Humberto Delgado und nördlich der Eisenbahnstrecke Linha de Cintura in der Stadtgemeinde São Domingos de Benfica. Die Nachbarstationen des Bahnhofes sind Laranjeiras und Praça de Espanha. Der Bahnhof ging am 29. Dezember 1959 als einer der elf Bahnhöfe des Lissabonner Ursprungnetzes in Betrieb.[1] Zusammen mit der Station der REFER, die abweichend zum U-Bahnhof den Namen Sete Rios trägt, und dem Busterminal der Rede Expressos, stellt der Bahnhof einen wichtigen Verkehrsknoten in der portugiesischen Hauptstadt dar.

«Жарди́н-Зооло́жику» (порт. Jardim Zoológico — Зоопарк) — станция Лиссабонского метрополитена. Одна из первых одиннадцати станций метро в Лиссабоне. Находится в западной части города. Расположена на Синей линии (Линии Чайки) между станциями «Ларанжейраш» и «Праса-ди-Эшпанья». Открыта 29 декабря 1959 года. Название переводится дословно с португальского, как «зоологический сад», благодаря размещению вблизи Лиссабонского зоопарка. До 1995 года носила название «Сете-Риуш» (порт. Sete Rios). С момента открытия и до 14 октября 1988 года являлась конечной станцией Синей линии.
