Located under Bayfront Avenue,[5] Bayfront station is close to Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by The Bay.[3] The station has three levels, and the DTL and CCL platforms are adjacent to each other to facilitate transfers between the two lines.[6] On official maps, it has the station code "CE1" for the CCL and "DT16" for the DTL.[7]

Public art

Titled as "When the Ships Comes In" by Lee Wen is a mural, composed of a collage, located on the underground linkway of the station. The collage of images of ships, drawn by young Singaporeans, brings a remembrance of the past of Port of Singapore and Singapore's future hopes.[8]
