Storia

La stazione di Rothenburger Straße venne attivata il 28 gennaio 1984, come parte della tratta da Plärrer a Schweinau della linea U2; il 14 giugno 2008, con l'attivazione della linea U3, divenne stazione di diramazione.[1]

Der U-Bahnhof Rothenburger Straße (Abkürzung: RO) wurde als 23. U-Bahnhof der Nürnberger U-Bahn am 28. Januar 1984 eröffnet. Er ist 762 m vom U-Bahnhof St. Leonhard bzw. 929 m vom U-Bahnhof Sündersbühl und 970 m vom U-Bahnhof Plärrer entfernt. Seit 14. Juni 2008 ist er Trennungsbahnhof für die Linien U2/U3. Die Rothenburger Straße ist nach der Mittelfränkischen Stadt Rothenburg ob der Tauber benannt. Täglich wird er von rund 13.400 Fahrgästen genutzt.[1]
