Yverdon-les-Bains railway station (French: Gare d'Yverdon-les-Bains) is a railway station in the municipality of Yverdon-les-Bains, in the Swiss canton of Vaud. It is located at the junction of the standard gauge Fribourg–Yverdon and Jura Foot lines of Swiss Federal Railways and the 1,000 mm (3 ft 3+3⁄8 in) gauge Yverdon–Ste-Croix line of Travys.[1]

As of the December 2021 timetable change,^[update] the following services stop at Yverdon-les-Bains:[5]

• InterCity: hourly service to Lausanne and Geneva Airport and half-hourly service to Zürich Hauptbahnhof; every other train continues from Zürich to Rorschach.
• Regio:
  • half-hourly service to Ste-Croix.
  • rush-hour service to Neuchâtel.
• RER Vaud S1 / S5: half-hourly service to Grandson and Lausanne and hourly service to Bex (on weekdays) or Aigle (on weekends); limited service from Aigle or Bex to St-Maurice.
• RER Fribourg S30: half-hourly service to Fribourg.

PRODES EA 2035

As part of the strategic development program for rail infrastructure (PRODES), the Confederation and SBB are focusing on customer orientation and economical management of resources.

By 2040, nearly two million people will travel by rail every day, 50% more than today. In rail freight, the Confederation also expects traffic to increase by around 45%.
