Hatsushiba Station is served by the Nankai Koya Line, and is 16.6 kilometers from the terminus of the line at Shiomibashi and 15.9 kilometers from Nanba.[1]

Hatsushiba Station opened on January 30, 1898 as Nishimura Station (西村駅). It was renamed to its present name on August 1, 1935.
In fiscal 2019, the station was used by an average of 8256 passengers daily.[2]
