It operates as train number 19259 from Kochuveli to Bhavnagar Terminus and as train number 19260 in the reverse direction serving the states of Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra and Gujarat.[2]

As the average speed of the train is lower than 55 km/h (34 mph), as per Indian Railways rules, its fare doesn't include a Superfast surcharge.[4]

The 19259 / 60 Kochuveli−Bhavnagar Express runs from Kochuveli via Kollam Junction, Ernakulam Junction, Shoranur Junction, Tirur, Kozhikode, Kannur, Mangalore Junction, Madgaon Junction, Ratnagiri, Panvel, Vasai Road, Vadodara Junction, Ahmedabad Junction, Botad Junction to Bhavnagar Terminus.


Traction


As the large sections of the route are yet to be fully electrified, a Arakkonam Loco Shed-based WAP-4 powers the train from Kochuveli to Mangalore. After which both the trains are hauled by a Sabarmati Loco Shed-based WDP-4D from Mangalore to Bhavnagar Terminus and vice versa.
