La stazione è dedicata a Luis Sáenz Peña, Presidente dell'Argentina tra il 1892 e il 1895.

Storia

La stazione è stata inaugurata il 1º dicembre 1913 con il primo tratto della linea.

Nel 1997 la stazione è stata dichiarata monumento storico nazionale.[1]

La stazione è stata restaurata e ammodernata nel periodo 2007-2008, rispettando comunque il disegno originale.

Sáenz Peña is a station on Line A of the Buenos Aires Underground.[1] It is the last station of the line located under the Avenida de Mayo in the neighbourhood of Monserrat. The station belonged to the inaugural section of the Buenos Aires Underground opened on 1 December 1913, which linked the stations Plaza Miserere and Plaza de Mayo.[2]
