La stazione
La stazione venne aperta nel 1933, ed è una stazione con quattro binari e un tetto a volta che è il più grande di tutte le stazioni della Metropolitana di Parigi. La stazione porta il nome di un'antica porta delle fortificazioni della città di Parigi e la via d'accesso collegava la capitale a Rosny.

Porte de Montreuil (French pronunciation: [pɔʁt də mɔ̃tʁœj]) is a station on line 9 of the Paris Métro. The station has four tracks, two of which are sidings. Like that of Porte de Charenton, the train hall boasts an unusually wide vault, at 22.5 m across.[1]: 27 The station is named after the Porte de Montreuil, a gate in the nineteenth century Thiers wall of Paris, which led to the town of Montreuil.
