Histoire


La station est mise en service le , elle est alors dénommée Kennington Road. Elles est le terminus provisoire du Baker Street and Waterloo Railway (BS&WR) jusqu'à l'ouverture le de la station Elephant & Castle. En elle est renommée Westminster Bridge Road et c'est en qu'elle prend son nom actuel de, Lambeth North.

Le , pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, une bombe à fragmentation allemande frappe une maison proche de la station qui était utilisée comme abri anti-aérien. L'onde de choc blesse 28 personnes qui y étaient à l'abri, l'une d'entre elles décède plus tard à l'hôpital. Le trafic reprend dans la station après 95 jours de réparation.

    Lambeth North ist eine unterirdische Station der London Underground im Stadtbezirk London Borough of Lambeth. Sie liegt in der Travelcard-Tarifzone 1 an der Westminster Bridge Road. Im Jahr 2014 nutzten 3,57 Millionen Fahrgäste diese von der Bakerloo Line bediente Station.[1] Das Imperial War Museum ist wenige hundert Meter entfernt.

    Lambeth North is a London Underground station in the district of Lambeth, at the junction of Westminster Bridge Road and Baylis Road. It is on the Bakerloo line, between Elephant & Castle and Waterloo, and is in Travelcard Zone 1. It is located at 110 Westminster Bridge Road, and is the nearest tube station to the Imperial War Museum. As of 2017 it is the least-used Underground station in Zone 1.[6]
