Histoire


La gare d'origine, nommée Greenford, est mise en service le par le Great Western Railway sur sa nouvelle ligne principal nord, elle est fermée en 1963[1].

La station actuelle est due, aux architects Brian Lewis (en) et Frederick Francis Charles Curtis (en) qui l'a complété du fait du retard du à la Seconde Guerre mondiale, est mise en service le [1].

Greenford ist ein Bahnhof im Stadtbezirk London Borough of Ealing. Er liegt in der Travelcard-Tarifzone 4 an der Oldfield Lane North. Der Bahnhof wird einerseits von der Central Line der London Underground bedient, andererseits von der Bahngesellschaft Great Western Railway, deren Vorortszüge von Greenford über Ealing Broadway nach Paddington verkehren. Im Jahr 2013 nutzten 4,35 Millionen U-Bahn-Fahrgäste den Bahnhof, hinzu kommen 0,191 Millionen Fahrgäste der Eisenbahn.[1][2]

Greenford is a London Underground and National Rail station in Greenford, Greater London, and is owned and managed by London Underground. It is the terminus of the National Rail Greenford branch line, 2 miles 40 chains (4.0 km) down the line from West Ealing and 9 miles 6 chains (14.6 km) measured from London Paddington. On the Central line, it is between Perivale and Northolt stations while on National Rail, the next station to the south on the branch is South Greenford.
