La gare centrale de Varsovie (en polonais : Warszawa Centralna), est la principale gare ferroviaire de Varsovie, en Pologne. Elle est située dans l'arrondissement de Śródmieście, Aleje Jerozolimskie n°54, entre Aleja Jana Pawła II et Ulica Emilii Plater (pl), au-dessus du Tunel średnicowy (pl) reliant la Gare de Varsovie-Est et Gare de Varsovie Ouest.

Histoire


La gare était un projet emblématique de la République populaire de Pologne durant les années 1970, et avait pour but de remplacer la gare de Varsovie-Główna (en).

Elle fut construite de 1972 à 1975, sous la direction de l'architecte Arseniusz Romanowicz. La gare a été enregistrée comme monument historique de l'architecture moderne en 2019.

    Warszawa Centralna (Warschau Zentralbahnhof) ist der wichtigste Fernverkehrsbahnhof in Warschau und einer der größten unterirdischen Bahnhöfe Europas. Er ist über den Tunel Średnicowy und die Most Średnicowy mit den großen Warschauer Bahnhöfen Warszawa Wschodnia (Warschau Ost) und Warszawa Zachodnia (Warschau West) verbunden. Die Station ist Halt mehrerer Fernverkehrslinien der Polnischen Staatsbahnen (PKP), darunter der gemeinsam mit der Deutschen Bahn betriebene Berlin-Warszawa-Express.

    Warszawa Centralna, in English known as Warsaw Central Station, is the primary railway station in Warsaw, Poland. Completed in 1975, the station is located on the Warsaw Cross-City Line and features four underground island platforms with eight tracks in total. It is served by the long-distance domestic and international trains of PKP Intercity and Polregio as well as some of the regional trains operated by Koleje Mazowieckie. Adjacent to the north side of the building is a bus station that serves as the central hub for night bus lines, and Złote Tarasy shopping center.
