72nd Street est une station souterraine express du métro de New York située dans l'Upper West Side au nord de Manhattan. Elle est située sur l'une des lignes (au sens de tronçons du réseau) principales, l'IRT Broadway-Seventh Avenue Line (métros rouges), issue du réseau de l'ancienne Interborough Rapid Transit Company (IRT). Sur la base des chiffres 2012, la station était la 20^e plus fréquentée du réseau[1]. Le poste de contrôle de la station est inscrit au Registre national des lieux historiques depuis 1980, et la station y a été rajoutée en 2004.
