History

The station opened on 1 July 1852 by the St Andrews Railway. It closed to passengers on 1 June 1887[2] but became a goods shed after closure. Passenger services then used the second station. A signal box, also called St Andrews Links, opened to the north around this time which closed in 1957.[1]
