Ōmiya-kōen Station is served by the 62.7 km Tōbu Urban Park Line from Ōmiya in Saitama Prefecture to Funabashi in Chiba Prefecture. Located between Kita-Ōmiya and Ōwada, it is 2.2 km from the line's starting point at Ōmiya.[1]
The station consists of two opposed side platforms serving two tracks, connected to the station building by a footbridge.

The station opened on 17 November 1929.[1]
From 17 March 2012, station numbering was introduced on all Tōbu lines, with Ōmiya-kōen Station becoming "TD-03".[2]
In fiscal 2019, the station was used by an average of 9772 passengers daily.[3]
